Mohinder Kaur has filed a case against Kangana Ranaut during a district court in Bathinda.

This comes after the 73-year-old woman made headlines when Kangana shared an image of her, claiming that she was an equivalent ‘dadi’ who was a neighborhood of the Shaheen Bagh protest.

The case has been filed within the court of duty magistrate, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bathinda. The hearing is fixed for January 11, 2021.

In the complaint filed by advocate Raghubir Singh, Mohinder Kaur stated, that due to the misleading post on the microblogging website, by the accused Kangana, she is affected by grave mental tension, agony, harassment, humiliation, loss of reputation and defamation within the eyes of her family, members, relative, co-villagers, and public in-large.

She, further, claimed that thanks to “scandalous” allegation, she has fallen within the eyes of the opposite farmers—who are sitting within the agitation—as they need began to inquire about the matter.

It also stated that Kangana has not issued an apology on social media to her, and therefore the other farmers. Kangana shared the “false tweet”, with none reasonable or evidence . This was only to please the political higher-ups of the ruling BJP party.

She claimed, that she and her entire family are farmers. they’re hooked in to agriculture for his or her livelihood. this is often why they’re supporting the farmers from day one against the farm laws.

She had gone to Delhi to support farmers.

In conversation with The Tribune, Mohinder Kaur’s husband, Labh Singh said: “We have filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut in court in Bathinda, and therefore the hearing is fixed on January 11”.

Earlier, a Chandigarh-based advocate, Hakam Singh, had sent a legal notice to the actor for mistaking an elderly woman participating within the rally to be the one famous for Shaheen Bagh protests, and claiming she was ‘available for Rs 100’ to protest.

Sharing a photograph of the lady within the farmer’s protest, Kangana had tweeted: “Ha Ha she is that the same Dadi who had featured in Time Magazine for being the foremost powerful woman. and she or he is out there for 100 rupees.”
