On Monday ruling YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh announced the names of four candidates, including Parimal Nathwani, for the elections to the four Rajya Sabha seats on March 26. Parimal is currently an Independent Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand and is completing his term on April 9. Senior leader of YSR Congress Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that Deputy Chief Minister P. Subhash Chandra Bose, Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and real estate businessman Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy will be the other candidates of the party in the Rajya Sabha elections.
Nathwani thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the party for nominating him for the Rajya Sabha elections from Andhra Pradesh. “I am committed to serve the people for Andhra Pradesh,” he said after Ummareddy Venkateswarlu announced Nathwani’s name for the Rajya Sabha. On February 29, Reliance Industrie’s chief Mukesh Ambani asked Chief Minister Jagan We met at his residence. Ambani was accompanied by his sons Anant Ambani and Nathwani on this occasion. Nathwani is RIL’s senior group president.
After Nathwani’s appearance, speculation was rife that the meeting was a political one. later in a statement issued by the CMO, said that the Chief Minister discussed with Reliance the cooperation of Ambani in the state government’s schemes related to education and health. However, the party on Monday denied the speculations that Nathwani has been given a Rajya Sabha seat by the BJP. Ummareddy said that the BJP has nothing to do with this.
